anyone else that is a CHILDLESS STEPMOM.

I have joined a group called Childless step moms. It is on yahoo groups.. It is a great group.. but you CANNOT have children of your own..

How many of you are there that are in this situation? I know this is a stupid question.. but it is really helpful when it comes to women that dont have children of their own, but are helping to raise someone else's. and the trial and tribulations that come with it.

So, how many are there of you out there.....?

I use to be a childless stepmom, and the children loved me the problem was he didn't. I found the best thing was they understood I wasn't replacing their mom. We were always nice to each other (their mother and I) and we didn't undermine each other. The worst thing I did was I took the five year old son to get his ear peirced with his father's permission but now having children of my own I realize that is something she should have been there for. You just have to know the boundaries and let their dad handle the discipline and you be there to back him up.

i do no longer pay attention something from you as to marriage being coming near near. That being mentioned, although, in case you and the baby's father replace into engaged, I frankly see no rationalization why you and the man can not take a seat mutually and in a well mannered way communicate merely what this dad is mushy with as to your place in the parenting technique. From a reasonable viewpoint, while you are the guy who in maximum cases would be available to shelter the baby, it does make experience which you be allowed to play a proactive parenting place (as antagonistic to being the guy who passively is latest and leaves all as much as the male). yet, nonetheless, i could desire to emphasize that it is the dad's call, no longer yours, as to what your place would be. via ways, an exception to the above is that if the baby's habit matters you to truly or the possibility of actual or psychological abuse: if so, you're nicely interior your rights in addressing the subject with the interior sight government; and in seek of psychological/psychiatric intervention as a treatment.
