you can hot glue a bunch together to use under hot plates. You can make different sizes depending on how big or small the serving pieces are.

1st - get yourself a really nice wine opener so this doesn't happen again. And make sure you screw the squirrel (the metal screw) all the way down into the cork. Pull frimly but not at an angle, keep it straight. 2nd- if you do get cork bits in the bottle just strain it through a coffee filter or a metal strainer. No harm, no foul. Keep practicing, its takes some time to master those wine openers~

Do you know anyone that you exchange Christmas gifts with that has a bar in their home? If so, go to the $ store and find a mirror with a wooden frame and get a good glue (Gorilla Glue is great...craft stores carry it) and clue the corks onto the frame.

We have a beautiful board made of wine corks. OK, most are covered by our notes, but it is a really Eco-friendly way of using them.

Alternatively, give them to a school for junk. Kids have great ideas for using them.

Keep them, there are many crafts you can make with them. If you do a search on Google or Yahoo! I am sure you will find something.
