Its more phsychological.
The problem is that a sudden switch is a shock. You may not feel it, but your body internally feels it. Your body misses that regular food and so you don't feel satisfied after eating etc. etc.

Make that change slowly and surely. Its an effort, but if you believe thats what you want to do, then you'll have to take that effort.
Say for the frist few weeks or maybe upto 2 months cut down on that so-called "junk" food by 25% and include some of vegetables/fruits etc.
Once you get used to it, decrease the junkfood % and increase the health food %. Attempt to make that switch in 8-10 months.

More important than the switch is chewing the food as you eat it. Raw fruits and vegetables require more effort from your intestines in digesting them. So more you chew, the better it will get digested.

Are you getting enough calories in your healthy diet? I find that eating healthy means having to eat more food - it takes more volume of salad and low-fat food to fill up than if you eat a burger and fries. Also, I find that getting the exercise makes me crave healthier food. So when you eat that chili cheese dog - make sure you do actually go run the ten miles!

Well anytime you change your eating habits your body goes through a change and reacts different then it did before but eating healthy is always good just the thing I've learned is small steps don't eliminate everything at once . What has worked for me and others I know is to start drinking more water and adding new things in place of old like if you drink soda try drinking ginseng tea instead. also taking a good vitamin (non synthetic is best)

Breaking from the old junk food habit can be hard. Give it another try. Eat healthy, and give yourself an occasional junk food treat. You have to wean yourself off slowly. To jump from all the sugar and cals to 0 is stressful and will cause such affects of your body, as youve mentioned. Be drinking lots of water, make it juice instead of sodas. You can do it, and you will be eating whats right for your body, before long. The Body needs healthy foods, not so much junkfood. Its fun, yeah, but our body isnt having fun.

your body is probably craving the insane amounts of sugar that junk food contains. so after taking a break from the daily sugar high, your body goes into a lull, but then when you have a regular "fast-food" meal, it's going to feel like you just ate a bunch of candy.

see "super-size me" he describes it in documentary form.

it takes a while to get used to healthy eating...before anyone runs 10 miles they are gonna want some carbs and sugar and stuff....just exercise more and dotn worry as much about what you eat.

yeah i think thats normal. Any sudden change in your diet can result to that. It will go away eventually as your body gets used to it.

i don't know if it is normal but enjoy it while you can. one day your metabolism will change and all that chili & cheese will catch up to you.
