No cure, only management and treatment. Avoid sources of purines, drink 2-3 liters of water daily and use a prescribed anti-gout medicine such as Allopurinol.

You KNOW you have gout? Then stay away from red meat and alcohol. Gout use to be known as 'the rich man's disease.' because it was only the rich that could afford red meat and lots of alcohol. It may take awhile to work...but that is what I would do first.
