I dont smoke, no one has smoked in my house, and my coworkers do not smoke either. Someone mentioned a sinus condition that could cause this, I dont have problems with my sinuses.

My late father had the same problem! He had quit smoking when I was five, and then had an Asama operation soon after wards. His nose was so sensitive to smell, that sometimes he thought I smelled like somewhere where somebody had been smoking (this was long after I had kicked the habit) when I had not been. If you smoked for a long time, or was around someone who did, it could be a conditioned response. Smell is considered to be the most powerful memory trigger of all the five senses.

If you've been around a smoker while smoking for long periods of time or been in places for long periods where someone is smoking, the secondary smoke and smell of smoke can and will settle into your clothing. You may have been around a smoker at work and the smoke smell may have been coming from their clothing. At home, it may have clung to yours and that is what you're smelling.

You may have a spirit who is a smoker hanging around. I know this sounds nuts, but that is what someone told me because I had the same problem for awhile. it was making me nuts. I can't stand the smell.

Maybe at some point you came across someone that smoked and the smell usually travels. If it was close to you maybe it stunk your shirt and so it goes with you...

Could have gotten on your clothes somehow, or it could be from outside. Maybe it's all in your mind. Do you hate smoking as much as I do? Maybe it's making you paronoid. Lighten up! (No not light up) :) Arum
