You need to make her wear a swim cap. She might not want to wear one because she wont look cute while swimming, but I am sure she is out of the water more often and wants to look cute then too! You should apply a conditioning treatment, like the one Loreal sells at beauty stores, or a jojoba oil treatment, to return moisture and softness to her hair.

My answer for all issues hair suitable: Conditioner. try putting a deep conditioner on in the previous AND after she is going into the pool. in the previous, positioned a thick glob of it on and wrap her head in a warmth towel for 5 minutes, then rinse it out. Afterwards, do a similar element after washing with shampoo and such. Then, put in a leave in conditioner. If it would not paintings the way you want, and, i comprehend how little ones are about swin caps, you are able to blend 3 factors water to a million area conditioner, and spray it on her hair. it will coat the strands and prevent the chemical substances stepping into. leave it in at the same time as she's on the pool, it received't shrink to rubble the water and considering that it really is a dulled down conditioner, it received't damage her eyes if it receives in it, no more beneficial than chlorine ought to. i have used this techniqe on my 2 12 months previous cousin's hair. Works like magic. also, if the water is popping her hair colors (dulling the shine, and so on.) try the rest room Frieda line for her certain hair colour, that's worked wonders on my blond hair. basically be careful now to not get it in her eyes, even with the actuality that it would not damage to undesirable, i have basically had to replace some contacts on social gathering. wish this permits. :)

Buy shampoos that are Clarifying shampoos. They take out all the built up bad residue in hair better than any other kind. Also I think it may be Paul Mitchell - although I'm sure there is a few brands who make a shampoo that says it works well on chlorine treated hair. Best for swimmers.
I'd suggest a clarifying shampoo, also a gentle conditioner that says it rehydrates and look for the shampoo that works well on hair exposed to chlorine.

Your daughter should be wearing a cap during practice and for meets. Have her wet her hair with water or a spray on leave-in conditioner like infusium 23 before she puts on her cap. After she gets out of the pool have her rinse immediately in the shower at the pool. After she washes her hair with any gentle shampoo and conditioner, rinse with vinegar, do not get into eyes, it stings, then rinse out. Yes, her hair may smell a bit, but it does really help! She could reverse the vinegar and shampoo and conditioner.

There is a shampoo I bought at Sally's Beauty Supply for my daughter that protects it from the cholorine. Also, you should tell her to wet her hair in the shower or sink before she gets in the pool. The chlorine won't shock the hair so badly.

There is also a leave in conditioner......

Your daughter must have very fine and delicate hair. Go to walmart and go into the shampoo isle. Just look for a hair softening shampoo. I am almost positive that you will find something for her! ^_^ Good luck!

Use Fruties or how ever you spell conditioner and shampoo . It's in a green bottle it really helps your hair when it comes to dryness. Not to mention it also helps keep your hair healthy and helps prevent split ends. It's awesome, and works really good.
You should try it.

Find a leave-in conditioner. Applying regular conditioner before going in the pool may also help.
