i have sincere feelings for my best friend. i think he sensed that and told me yesterday that he just sees me as a really good friend and nothing else. he loves someone else who he is currently having problems with and he looks to me for solace.
i am heartbroken but i think i will get over it. how to lessen the pain? should i continue to be supportive for that is what i am doing now... despite the hurt i feel.. or just cool off?
i have exams coming up, i cant study... i am too depressed

he told me, he would always be there as a friend and i should go study now... i appreciate his honesty

my opinion is if he was honnest enough to tell you that he only likes you as a friend and that he wants to stay that way then i think i would try my best to be his friend because true friends are very hard to find (good friends are like 4-leaf clovers hard to find but your lucky to have one) anyway if you could try to put your feelings aside and just be friends that would be great at least he would still be in your life and who knows maybe one day he will look at you and say damn girl where have you been all my life? lol but you have to do what is best for you what you feel in your heart that you can stand to deal with....

you have alot of growing up to do if you are depressed over a boy. you should just concentrate on studying for your exams, because in the end, no matter if he is there for you through thick and thin, you are the only one who makes or breaks your success in the future. stick with education for now. plenty of time for relationships later.
