how much percent (union dues) do they take out from our pay??

Anything more than 0 is to much.

Your dues could be a percentage or a fixed amount based on your level of income. Ask your union rep the question and they should be able to tell you and if they can't they will know where to find the information. Please attend your local meetings and ask questions like this because I'm sure you're not the only one who wants to know.

The amount of union dues depends on the union. Unless you tell us what union you are talking about, we can't answer. I do agree with the first answer that any union does are more that the union is actually worth.

When I was union it wasn't a percentage, it was an amount. That amount differed as to what classification you were - general mill, journeyman, etc.
