Yeah. I won't kid you. Sometimes they hurt. But it's totally, totally worth it in the end.

Had braces for 3 years only hurt when they took them off. Your teeth feel really funny when they come off. You will do fine. Good Luck and remember to brush after every meal and don't drink to much coffee have blueberrys, or mustard all those things can stain the braces and your teeth if you don't brush afterwards.

I wouldn't use the word "painful" to describe what it feels like. It's more of a discomfort, but this usually only lasts for a day or two after any adjustments. Taking Tylenol does help with the soreness.

Yes, I'm afraid they do hurt sometimes. It is mainly after they make adjustments or do something different. Even putting rubber bands between the teeth to make room for the braces to go on hurts. It makes your teeth loose. I had braces and retainer for eight years.

depends on how bad your teeth are. i have braces since august. the first week it hurt very much if i was bitting. if i wasnt bitting i could hardly feel them. after a few days it stopped and after 2 weeks it started again. its been like that every month.. but not as bad as the first week. my sister says so too. but i think the worst thing about braces is to get used to them and to keep them clean.

Your teeth will be sore for a week or so and when they tighten them, they will be sore, but it never actually hurt. I had them for four years because one of my molars wouldn't come in.

They're not really that bad, just a little sore at first. I play trumpet though and they are really uncomfortable when I play.
