My bf is a 3rd year med school student and has very little time for me. Even on the weekends, he says he doesn't have time to hang out with me. He says this is because he spends "too much" time talking to me during the weekdays. With his schedule and my work schedule, we barely have any time during the weekdays, and end up talking for about 30 mins a day. I can't see how this is "too much" time.

How much time is normal to spend with your gf while you are in med school third yr?

This is a test to see if you want to be with a Dr. residency will be even less time! Then even less when they go into practice.

Decide what is important to you, time with your significant other or the prestige of being with a Dr. (a few hours a week)!

I believe from a few people that I have talked that they study and work for very long times and shifts. I am surprised he has time for a girl friend as friends generally speak get left along the way this is an exacting study. he can not in the middle of an emergency say gosh I missed that I was talking to my girlfriend, either learn patience, acceptance and care about him or move on because he will be unavailable for the next 6-8 years or more,
