I don't know what to do about my situation so can someone please help me?

talk to your doctor and explain you dont want medication. You may need to explain your reasons behind why you dont want to take them. They can offer you group counselling (which my dad took and for him personally, it was very effective) however it's different for everyone. But there are some other options other than medication, but you have to be open to talking about it to people who can help.

You can try natural supplements like Sam-E or a good multivitamin.
Find someone you can talk to (preferably a professional councelor).
Find activities that make you happy. Listen to upbeat music. Take a serious look at your life and see if changing anything would make a real difference.

You have to look at the positive things in your life, even if it is small, because negativity is like fire, it spreads.
You have to think about all the people who are worse off than yourself.
Try to think of one thing everyday that is worth making an effort for and work on it.
Its all a state of mind.

see a shrink. you my need to take a low dose at first and then ween yourself off of it. and you need to figure out why you are depressed so you can change th way you approach life in general

Go to the doctor. Take the medication prescribed. Go to therapy.
See....problem solved.
