No. Death, poverty, sickness and other maladies happening to mankind are due to Adam and Eve's disobedience. If you know what God expects from you, and you don't do it, then you are held responsible for your actions... and your choices are these: Romans 6:23 says that the wages sin pays is DEATH, but the gift God gives is EVERLASTING LIFE through His son, Jesus Christ, our lord.

nope.

the consequences for breaking the Mosaic law is going against the Will of G-d. When one dose that they remove themselves from what is good and regress to the level of an animal that knows not how to go above basic instinct.

The point of the Mosaic law is to bring G-d's will to the earth though all of our actions.

Yes that is the bottom line. There is talk of famine and plagues but when you get to the bottom of it all, you have death, poverty and sickness.

Of course, there is always hell. I am not sure if you would put that in the death category or not.
