Have just come out of a 3 year relationship that started incredibly, like something out of a movie, strangers on a plane, love at first sight, meeting in romantic rustic wine bars and having the most wonderful conversations. Suddenly I'd found my dream woman, the perfect size, shape, smile, hair, gorgeous eyes, beautiful skin and the cutest butt you ever saw. And did I mention the incredible lovemaking? A match made in heaven you'd think and yes - she'd told me I was the "love of her life". Indeed we would have been married by now, no question, if it were not for a tiny little 10 year old problem that wasn't to be solved. Anyway - push finally came to shove...

So the question. Have you had the "love of your life" and lost it?

More importantly - what the hell happens next? Any advice?

How sad im sorry that you lost the perfect girl for you. Please can you explain what the tiny 10 year old problem is?? Would this be a child? (As I dont know I wont tell you off)
What to do next...Except it as over. Be thankful that you had 3 years with this love of your life....you felt a mutual love and thats what makes the heart ache so much. But you will get over it. One day you will wake up and it will be a distant memory.Honest.

Mine was my first wife who I would have died for but she became mentally ill and walked out on me and the children. I still miss her very much after over 20 years. The only time in my whole life that I was really happy I just wish I could meet someone to take her place

i don't think you should give up.

sure she should be more concerned about her child, but if this kid is going to act like this over every single man who enters her life, then mum will end up being very sad and lonely. it's better to work around this child and help them learn than mummy is allowed to have a new man, and i'm sure it'll work out well for the child as well.

talk to the women, come up with a plan, make things work. a love like the one you describe is worth fighting for. DON'T GIVE UP!!!

ive only had one relationship and he has been the love of my life. no one else even compares. i havent exactly lost him but we cant be together cos of our diffrent religions. its tough but not so tough as we still talk pretty much all the time. im really sorry to hear you lost yours. everything does happen for a reason and maybe you were meant to be with this woman for a short time because it was to good to be true...maybe the skills and knowledge you learnt about yourself from this womann have been learnt and thus she has served her purpose. there is someone better waiting for you

i haven't found the love of my life but i'm not really looking for that right now....

what is the ten yr problem? confront the problem, solve it and be with the one you love....its really very simple. all problems have solution, although all solutions come with blessings as well as consequences, you have to be willing to take those too.

I have mine now, kind of, but she is trying to LOSE ME b/c of some little problem from her past. I am going to hold onto this for as long, and as gently, as I can.
