My Dad always says "Polite Daughters". He never gets it.
Older men never really want anything. My grandfather's the same way. The best solution is to make gifts for them. They generally love to have presents that their children make for them (no matter how old they are).

My dad has everything and I never know what to get him. I have recently started getting him gift cards to his favorite restaurants. He seems to like them after all everybody has to eat sometime.

give them each a gift card -wal-mart,target,Dillard's, home depot-McDonald's. let them decide from what every store you'll be surprised or a lotto ticket.........just thick if they hit the jackpot you'll be asking this same question next year(smile)
