I think she'll still like it, cause she'll know you picked it out!

well first thing is why did you buy it from wal-mart when she told you she wanted one from this book store. if the price is within your means at both places i would just return the one from wal-mart and get the one from the book store. if the one at the book store is not something you can afford then you could give her the one from wal-mart . personally i prefer a surprise of some kind for a gift. sure i might be asked what i would like but i don't except to get that stuff its really just a general guide.
as far as mom's go the truth is your mom will be glad that A your alive.B you are with her. C you are able to get around and are able to do things on your own as you are in good health. D.
you at least listened to what she said and remembered it even if you did not follow the idea to the t that's OK as long as you and your mom are together that's great.
i really suggest that you and everyone avoid getting wrapped up in the buying and getting at Christmas and return to the celebration of the great gift of Christ that is Christ mass
have a merry Christmas

Generally, when I tell someone what I want and where it is, it's more of a guideline. This way they can look at what I wanted, and if they can find the same (or really similar) thing elsewhere for less money hooray for them!

Your mom may have also only seen the one angel and thought, "oh that's pretty" and than mentioned it to you...for all you know your angel is ten times better than the one at the bookstore!

But, honestly I doubt you have to worry...if I MADE my Mom an angel out of macaroni and cat hair she'd LOVE it because it was from ME. The old adage, "its the thought that counts" is really true. She's going to love it...so don't worry. She's lucky to have a sweetheart of a daughter like you.

You could take the angel back to WalMart for a refund. Then buy the angel at the bookstore.

Or, give her the angel from WalMart. She might like it better. If she doesn't, then give her the WalMart receipt and let her get the bookstore angel.

The most important thing is that you keep the receipt. I think she will like the angel that her daughter picked out, personally.
