“The Prophet said, "after me i have not left any affliction more harmful to men than women."” http://www.islamicity.com/mosque/sunnah/bukhari/062.sbt.html#007.062.033

He makes quite a confession by referring to himself as an "affliction" upon "man", but then he negates the honesty with declaring that "woman" are the greatest "affliction" upon man?

Now, he doesnt modify this by adding any humor or specifics, he just leaves goodly followers to believe that woman are the worst thing on earth.

Oh, by the way, for those of you who try to take the absurd and fit it back into your little pc reality, I have some bad news...this isnt some "extremists" diary. This is the Bukari, and I hate to tell you, but 99.99% of all Muslims accept the Bukari.

Heres what you might hear in response:

"Whatever contradicts the Quran is false". Uh, your not saying it does are you! Show us where it does!

What you wont hear:

"I reject any religion which claims woman are the worst affliction"

The answer just magically came to me. The only way to stop the murderous actions of Militant Islam, (that would theoretically be Muhammed since he's the one who told these people that the "thou shalt not murder" commandment didn't apply to them, hence the false prophet status he's attained), will be the wives of the terrorists.

So basically, the wives will have to dispose of the terrorists, hence afflicting the afflicted (terrorists). So I suppose in the terrorist world the woman would be the greatest affliction, yet the rest of us would consider them hero's. I'm guessing poison, as we women don't really like a lot of blood and guts. Do I win a prize?

(If any of you are the wives of terrorists, please consider the concept of killing one monster in order to save thousands of innocent people).

Uhm, are you serious?

I can't believe you're even trying to pass this off as credible.

In the arabic it states: قَالَ ‏"‏ مَا تَرَكْتُ بَعْدِي فِتْنَةً أَضَرَّ عَلَى الرِّجَالِ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ ‏
The Prophet says "after me" as in, succeeding him/ following him....

To say the same thing and to get the same meaning across in English, it should have been more properly translated as "behind me"

As in, if I were to translate the original arabic it would be: "I have not left any affliction behind me (after leaving you), more harmful to men than women."

The point is - you're jumping into conclusions based on what you want to read - and not on what it's really saying.

In regards to women being an "affliction" even that is not translated well - the word used is " فِتْنَةً " (transliterated: fitnah) which means many different things, but in this context it can mean:
temptation, seduction, luring, captivating, enticing, charm

The reason it's in a "negative" connotation here is because it can lead to lude behaviors, such as illegal sexual intercourse (outside of marriage). In the same way, men are the same to women in that temptation, except to a lesser to degree.

The reasoning in the back of what the Prophet(saws) stated change into that women individuals can truly turn adult males to putty of their fingers between different issues. :) women individuals have a lot means over adult males because adult males imagine very "bodily" at the same time as a lady is better of an emotional man or woman. women individuals are an fairly good ailment to adult males. purely is smart.

Looks like deceit goes hand & hand with everything. According to an Iranian refugee, women get stoned and commit suicideonce in a while there. The elections are rigged(huh?) and anyone rebelling against the regime can get black-listed from employment, maimed, silenced, or out of there. explanation of the hadith:

The word in arabic is "fitnah" which means trial. So the word trial is a more appropriate word to use than the word affliction.

Basically, men have a natural lust towards women and most of men's problems today basically revolve around women some how. Men are either drinking and smoking and are depressed because they broke up with a girlfriend or cannot get a girl that they want. Men tend to do forbidden things such as going to single bars and nightclubs to go and pick up women and etc.

The hadith basically means that men commit a lot of sins because of their natural tendency to lust after women and if we do not watch out and restrain our selves then indeed we will fail by displeasing the lord.

Women are a trial for men because God is testing us through them.

a man came to the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! I intend to go on a (military) expedition, but I have come to ask your advice." He said, "Is your mother alive?" He said, "Yes." He said, "Then stay with her, for the Garden is under her feet." This latter hadith is declared to be sahih.

The ruler is a guardian and the man is a guardian of his family; the lady is a guardian and is responsible for her husband's house and his offspring; and so all of you are guardians and are responsible for your wards."

"You sad pathetic liar.Muhammad (pbuh) created equality for women and had the up most respect for them." He created it? Wow thats why woman can vote all over the world. Thats why "honor killings" and "female genital mutilation" dont happen in muslims countries. That why muslim countries treat womans rape as her fault.(GET THE KORAN OUT OF YOUR A$S AND THINK)

"Thoughtful" Tristan, why don't you fill your "thoughts" with something besides "hatred towards muslims" as an experiment. Just for two weeks in December as a little gift to yourself. See if you don't like life better.
