Funny, I have almost the same situation.. I had one cat and then I got a kitten. So the older cat always hissed at the little kitten, and now the kitten decided that she wants to attack the older cat. When I watch them, this is what they do: The kitten jumps on the cats back and tries to bite the cats neck. The cat throws the kitten off, and starts hitting her and yells(meows and growls) at her. When I dont watch, they just sniff eachother, and one time I caught them sleeping right next to each other. I think they are trying to impress me by fighting.. :)

its normal for cats to do that, most cats would hit a new cat but since the kittens are younger then her she wont hit them, and yes it iz a little jealousy so just pet your cat and talk to her an tell your that these kittens need help and every time she's nice to the kittens praise her...then at the end of the week give her a specail treat or buy her a toy....an CATs are not selfish lol

When no one is watching, she's in control. She's the "top cat" in the pecking order and the kittens know that so everything is cool. When someone is watching, she DEMANDS all of the attention because she is territorial and jealous. It will take time for her to feel secure enough to know that the kittens are not taking her place. She may never warm up completely, but in time she should chill out.

Your cat has needless to say been very spooked via some thing and being specific desires he remains very traumatised a fortnight later. Did every person come into your place who could harm or frighten him ? Or did something take place exterior, like a noisy bang ? supply him time to quiet down lower back.Declawing him could be very merciless, have faith me you may result with lots worse issues. ok a scratch isn't super yet as somebody else already mentioned, a chew is a lot worse ! i could advise a examine up on the vets however the journey could freak him out much extra. i think of i could supply him time, do no longer %. him up or enable the infants play with him, supply him some area and notice how he is going. I do agree that even nonetheless it could be undesirable to take him back to the safeguard, extra effectual that than declawing him as a minimum of with claws he has hazard of yet another homestead.

Cats are so damn selfish. Cats don't like to share the spotlight. However, she came to care for the kittens but she's afraid to show her weakness so she's bluffing you by saying it's either her or them.

She is used to geting all the attention. Also, she is not used to having other cats around. Don't worry. She will get used to them in time.

Sounds strange, but maybe she doesn't want you to know she likes them. Though it may seem a little complex for a cat. Who knows.
