Well, one thing, Your metablosim must be very slow, and it makes that harder to burn calories. There is some supplements that helps your metablousim go faster and you will have easier time burning calories and losing pounds. Other thing, it could be one of your blood disorder that you don't have enough vitamins/iron, that's what helps your metablosim go faster and if your blood is thick and creamy you need ALOT of water, if it's too runny and pale red, you need LESS water and less exercises. Sorry this is happening to you, it is NOT a common problem, maybe you should check up with your doctor daily and ask for supplements or dietary things that should work. Or, other thing, muscles weights more than fat so you may be gaining more muscles than fat DO not depend on the scale! Hope this helps. Ciao sweetie

Hey there, I'm also in recovery for anorexia, although i have never restricted as severely as u have. When u used to eat only 100 cals a day, your body shut down and went into "starvation mode". This also slowed down your metabolism. That's why u are gaining at such a low calorie intake. Once u start eating normally again, however, your metabolism should speed back up. U will probably find that as u gain more weight, your metabolism speeds back up and u need to eat more to maintain/gain at that weight. About the exercise, take it easy for awhile. When u feel u are strong enough, you can start lifting weights to help u gain a bit of muscle. Recovery is really tough, trust me i know from experience, but stay strong girl!! I know u can do it! Best of Luck :)

If your putting on muscle then you will gain weight since muscle is more dense than fat. If your feeling healthy and are medically healthy and look good to yourself don't worry about weight gain. Maybe all you need is a little mix up in your exercise program. Try different exercises for your cardio and if weight lifting try to perform more multi-joint lifts that use the most muscle mass.

Could be many reasons.

One common reason is an underactive thyroid however this is accompanied by other symptoms. Commonly, feeling weak and tired, coarse dry hair , dry rough skin, feeling cold all the time, muscle cramps, depression, constipation, lack of sex drive & disruption to menstrual cycle in women.

If you are worried or have some of the above symptoms see your physician. Thyroid function can be tested with a simple blood test, if levels are found to be low you can take a horomone supplement a live a normal life.

are you sure you're eating enough? if you don't consume enough calories each day, your body will go into starvation mode and start storing everything you eat as fat so make sure you're getting enough calories every day.

you could also be building muscle. the muscle will help you burn fat. you'll get a little bigger at first, but just keep going and the weight should eventually start to come off. also, make sure you're drinking enough water.

If you are building muscle you will gain weight because muscle is heavier than fat. As long as you fit better in clothes you are alright and it is only the scale numbers that are increasing.
