They tell you that you can if you don't stay a member of their church. (They say that they are the only true church on the face of the earth.)

As others have indicated, a definition is needed to adequately answer your question.
However, as members of the church, we would rarely, if ever, address this type of question for a couple of reasons. First, the Savior's final judgement (see John 5:22, Revelations 20:12, Romans 2:15-16), which determines our eternal salvation, has not yet occurred. Second, we must be faithful and true to God throughout our entire lives not just a mere moment (see Mark 13:13, Hebrew 3:6-14, Hebrews 6:4-15, Revelations 2: 25-26).
For these reasons, if you attend LDS services, you would probably never hear anyone simply discuss salvation as if it has already occurred. You might hear us discussing the doctrines and teachings regarding salvation as well as what we can do to live better lives, how we can better follow the Savior's example better, how we can understand and live the Gospel more fully, better serve our fellow man, etc.
I hope that this helps.

Yes, it's possible.
The Bible clearly says that the unforgivable sin is blaspheming against the Holy Ghost; i.e., once knowing the truths through the gift of the Holy Ghost and then denying them and putting Christ to shame.
If a Mormon simply falls away and becomes inactive and not honoring his priesthood callings and other obligations he could then end up in a lesser glory than the one originally sought.
Note: I'm extremely curious how the above poster knows that Hitler had received vicarious baptism.

The salvation I think you are talking about is different than the way we believe in salvation...if you are Christian, you might be referring to being "saved", which is accepting Christ into your heart. We beleive there is more to salvation than accepting Christ. Every person who ever lives has the gift of eternal life, which happens when you are resurrected. That is a free gift that everyone will receive no matter what.
Gaining Salvation to LDS is more than just accepting Christ, it is also making and keeping certain covenants and promises, living a Christ-like life (as much as possible anyways), following the prophets and commandments...etc. There is much more to salvation IF you want to be in the Celestial Kingdom...if you just want to be in one of the lower kingdoms then those ordinances, promises and covenants are not necessary - but of course God and Jesus do not dwell in the lower Kingdoms so why would anyone want to be there!
As far as "losing" (not loosing) our salvation...we do not believe in "once saved always saved", we believe in repentance and forgiveness, enduring, striving for exaltation. I guess it cannot really be lost because it is never 100% given...although there have been a few instances where a few prophets have "made their calling and election sure", which basically means Chris visited them and He personally told them they would have a place in His Father's Kingdom.

What is "salvation"? Technically, I think many people interpret salvation to mean we are relieved of the suffering and penalty for our sins. So, based on that interpretation I would say yes and no. I believe we can be relieved of the suffering of sin, through the atonement/sacrifice of Jesus Christ, but only after we repent and take the appropriate steps. If we fail to take certain steps, regardless of the power of Christ, we must accept the consequences of our sins. God is both merciful and just. Because he is just he cannot set forth a law and not enforce the penalty associated with such law. However, we can turn over our sins to Christ and God will show forth his mercy.

Are you a mormon?
The only way I know that you can is if you deny and leave the church and then you will be cast into outer darkness.
But Anyone can be baptised into heaven according to the mormon faith in a temple baptism for the dead. Even hitler was baptised in one of these ceremonies!

I think you first need to define what you mean by salvation. I've found that that word means different things for different people. Then define what it means to lose (I assume you meant 'lose' and not 'loose') it. Things go alot easier if you begin by defining your terms.
