I was told a nesting & then feeding bird needs more. I was told to make bread wet, but not soggy, scramble & cook an egg, & while that is going crush up the shell. Grate apple, & add them all together. I would make up a mush, & then dole it out for a few days, then make more. I fed them all during egg sitting & feeding the hatchlings. They ate it up!

I don't think that a female bird will eat if they are sitting on eggs. So if you have a male in the cage with her he will probably feed her.

Fairly Smart is NOT!!!!! Never feed birds bread. The male should be feeding her, but what I do with my nesters to make it easier on the father is put food closer to or onto the nest box. You can get nesting food with extra nutritional food in it for the female.
Scrambled eggs is good, but only if it's fresh and she eats it right away before it spoils. Bad egg can make them real sick.
Without interfering too much, that's about all you can do. Good luck.

The male should be feeding the female, she probably only comes out once a day to poop and get water.

She's probably not hungry... Just kidding, you may want to give her some different bird seeds that have vibrant colors.

You really ought to find out what kind of birds they are. Here, go to a vet.

I think she is lonely. Let her play with your cat.
