I do, on my way in and on my way out every time. I could be the person that needs that help one day. I feel bad for the people that do need it, my money could buy them a meal for their family.

I like to give or donate food, clothes, and money. I suggest you should do it. Sometimes you do not know, understand, or trust the needs that many people have and that are asking for. I was raised under times that we have and not to satisfy gifts, food, etc. Once my younger brother was very ill and my parents needed money to pay doctors' and hospitals' bills, my mother took the bus and ask for help. She did it only once in her life because was the worst time we were facing. People helped and thank God, doctors, and that people that donated money my brother survived. I hope we would have access or close to all this associations that give Christmas help. The Christmas present I used to get was a 25cent coin from my parents, I thought was Santa. I didn't or don't blame or get sad, because I was very happy getting something. I give money every time to homeless people or bell ringers because I know that they get happy for receiving help, the same way I was happy for receiving my coin. Give money to bell ringers, even if it is a 25 cent coin.

I hardly ever carry money anymore - even change. So I feel really bad whenever I want to give but don't have any dollars.
I was at a place the other day that had this guy playing christmas carols on a violen outside, I didn't notice him until I was walking out and I had no cash. I really wanted to tip him because he was good. (I had heard the music while in the store and I thought it was the radio or something)

I usually at least drop $.75 or more. I gave the fire department $1 each at 6 different locations in one day. If i don't know the charity I usually don't donate, because i want my money to be used for people who need it.

No, not every time! I do give when I have the money pretty handy and don't have to dig for it! My kids love to put the money in, so I try to give them some to put in. I give to several charities all year and to my church, so this is not the only giving I do all year. I don't have to feel guilty if I pass one by now and then during the holiday season.

Don't give to the SlaveNation Army. They force religion onto people who come to them for help: "If you don't pervert to our religion, you don't get any food." That's not charity, it's blackmail.
At the winter solstice, if you _really_ want to help people, give to your local women's shelter or a community association that helps the needy. At least those groups won't let people starve because of differing religions.

Not every time - just sometimes. I always tip at coffee shops or take-out places, though.

If I know the charity is reputable and doesn't discriminate, I give whatever I can spare.

Not me. I try to take money from them because I'm poor. If I'm unsuccessfuI then I punch them in the face and run away.

I usually give once, either as I enter or as I leave, usually as I leave.
