these crazy religious nuts thank an invisible man for every good thing that happens and curse Satan for every bad thing that happens. such self-denying, misguided people they learn nothing, they follow a false prophet blindly to death. they believe that if they follow and not question like zombies they will not roast in a so called fiery pit they have so blindly named hell. that there are these invisible creatures that are better than man but must serve man or else they fall were they all of a sudden they become devils who are only here to destroy mankind that in the end there will be a war between heaven and hell and heaven supposedly will win. oh i forgot the dead will rise up from the grave to be judged by this invisible man then either sent to heaven or hell. this god sounds like he has one inflated ego and needs to get over him self, and let a god that is Worthy of being worshiped be worshiped MAN.

WHY SO MUCH SUFFERING?
People of various religions have gone to their religious leaders and teachers to ask why there is so much suffering. Often, the response is that suffering is God’s will and that he long ago determined everything that would ever happen, including tragic events. Many are told that God’s ways are mysterious or that he brings death upon people—even children—so that he can have them in heaven with him. As you have learned, though, Jehovah God never causes what is bad. The Bible says: “Far be it from the true God to act wickedly, and the Almighty to act unjustly!”—Job 34:10.
Do you know why people make the mistake of blaming God for all the suffering in the world? In many cases, they blame Almighty God because they think that he is the real ruler of this world. They do not know a simple but important truth that the Bible teaches.
The real ruler of this world is Satan the Devil. The Bible clearly states: “The whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one.” (1Â John 5:19) When you think about it, does that not make sense? This world reflects the personality of the invisible spirit creature who is “misleading the entire inhabited earth.” (Revelation 12:9) Satan is hateful, deceptive, and cruel. So the world, under his influence, is full of hatred, deceit, and cruelty. That is one reason why there is so much suffering.
A second reason why there is so much suffering is that, mankind has been imperfect and sinful ever since the rebellion in the garden of Eden. Sinful humans tend to struggle for dominance, and this results in wars, oppression, and suffering. (Ecclesiastes 4:1; 8:9) A third reason for suffering is “time and unforeseen occurrence.” (Ecclesiastes 9:11) In a world without Jehovah as a protective Ruler, people may suffer because they happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
It is comforting for us to know that God does not cause suffering. He is not responsible for the wars, the crimes, the oppression, or even the natural disasters that cause people to suffer. Still, we need to know, Why does Jehovah allow all this suffering? If he is the Almighty, he has the power to stop it. Why, then, does he hold back? The loving God that we have come to know must have a good reason.—1Â John 4:8.

WRONG! Man cause these problems, there is plenty of food to feed the world, politics stop the distrubution of food, women are raped and people are killed because people raise their bad seeds with no morals, or feeling towards others. Pray is the answer toward all. Just think if people like you would open the Bible and take in its contents, how great the world would be. You are to concerened with being self righteous and wanting to prove God wrong when you should worry about yourself. I wonder what your offspring will turn out like. God help you!

So you would expect God to work like a coca cola machine / put in your dollar (or 2 dollars), push on the coke button, and out comes your can?
The only problem with that is God is not a machine. He is a thinking, feeling God whose heart is broken because his creatures are not protecting starving, and abused children. You see, God did answer that prayer. He put a lot of prosperous people like us there. He expects us to do something about all that.
Are you doing your bit? Or would you rather complain about God?

I gave you your answer before, and I'll tell you this:
Prayers are often selfish. I agree. People are naturally sinners (selfish).
And yes, there are unthinkable things happending in this world EVERY DAY! Yet, God says, "My ways are higher than your ways, just as my thoughts are higher than your thoughts"
Interpretted: DO NOT QUESTION GOD!
It doesn't say in the Bible exactly YES, NO, OR WAIT. That's just logic man.
Why does someone have to be "moronic" or "stupid" for believing what they do? I don't think you are a moron, or stupid. I just disagree with you......that's all. In fact, I bet that we'd get along if we knew each other outside of this forum. I'm a normal guy like everyone else. I like sports, I play guitar, I love hard rock.....what else is new?

Who are you to tell me what my prayers are! I happen to pray for the well being of the less fortunate, that world peace comes and world hunger is something only heard of in history class. I cannot believe how arrogant you are! How dare you assume that I do nothing but sit down and pray for selfish desires! I happen to give to charity and strive to make the world a better place. What are you doing about it! Instead of moping about Christains who pray, why not get out there and do something!

it's arrogant and a huge ego problem -- people who think that all they have to do is mumble into their folded hands, and that a god up above is listening and taking notes.
what moronic narcissism!!!

actually the bible says Knock and the door will be open, Ask and your question will be answered.
many verses state that god answers all prayers.
Matthew 7:7-9
Ask, Seek, Knock
7"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
9"Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?
