All this advice about moving on from one relationship to another doesnt' seem to be working. Me and my Ex have been apart for over 7 months now, I've dated other people, I even have a Girl friend, but every day my thoughts are crowded by my Ex and how much i Miss the little things about her. My head wants to move on to the next chapter in my life by my heart wants to go back :( any other advice?

If you can't do that then be honest with this new girl and let her know that your still hung up on your ex and as such cannot be honest in this relationship and that she needs to find someone else that can be more honest and open with her and respect her as she deserves. People that have been in our lives and that chapter has closed should remain in our memories and hopefully as good times as well as the poor times. This helps us to remember that all was not perfect in those relationships or they wouldn't be ex's.

You have stepped out of your comfort zone and into the unknown...it's scary...I know. I'm going through the same thing.
Just continue to search for your perfect fit. Give it more time. But, if you're really feeling like the right thing to do is get back with your ex, do it! But, remember that all of those things you didn't like about your relationship WILL continue to exist. If you love her enough to deal with those things no matter what, then get back with her and make it work. But, be sure that's REALLY what you want.

its been a year and a half for me, i have a bf but like u im miserable- and wish my bf was like my ex. i cant get over him and am getting worse. there is nothing u can do about it. just try to keep as busy as possible and dont drink! it will make ur depression worse

I've been there....It's tough. It took me two years before I found someone else who even made me happier. It takes time but whether you end up with her or find somene else...you will eventually be happy:)
