Well, I'm 35 and I gave up on that a long time ago. It's not important anymore. No matter what happens in my life when something goes wrong my parents assume it is my fault. They have always taken another persons word over mine.
And they wonder why they never see their grandkids.
Have a happy day!

Maybe your Dad doesn't believe you because you may have lied to him in the past or broken his trust? This can make it hard for any parent to be totally convinced of innocence! If this is the case, don't go on about it, that makes it seem like you're trying to convince a lie, just try to be honest in the future and own up when things go wrong (parents can cope with the truth, no matter how bad, better than lies! believe me).
If, on the other hand you are a saint, it might just be that you're Dad wasn't at your age and is remembering what he was like at your age! This could make him not trust you and is maybe assuming your'e thinking like he did.
Whatever the situation, honesty is always the best policy, everything else will usually come out in the wash!

I've given up.
A very long time ago when it was permitted for ones Dad to give one a good smack around the ear hole area, my Dad was always doing just that whenever I was caught fighting, he warned me many times to desist!
Walking home one evening at the age of around 14years, I saw this cracking girl walking along the opposite side of the road, I was mesmerised, I was intent on watching her and walked into a lamp post, massive shiner my eye puffed up and by the time I got home it was well black.
"Fighting again"? my Dad asked, "No I walked into a lamp post Dad" I replied!
Guess what happened next?
