Proverbs 1:7
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Proverbs 8:11
For wisdom is better than rubies, And all the things one may desire cannot be compared with her.

I like Romans 12:1&2 in The Message -
"So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you."
And 1 Peter 3:3&4 in The Message - "What matters is not your outer appearance—the styling of your hair, the jewelry you wear, the cut of your clothes—but your inner disposition."
Hope this helps! Here's a website that's helpful in looking up verses, it has an option to choose different translations too . . . .

Song of Solomon 8:4
Daughters of Jerusalem, I charge you:
Do not arouse or awaken love
until it so desires.
Song of Solomon 8:9
If she is a wall,
we will build towers of silver on her.
If she is a door,
we will enclose her with panels of cedar.
I Tim 4:12
Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.

I always thought you choose your own life verse.
Anything spoken by Jesus is good, or Romans has LOTS of nice ones.
Romans 8:38-39
38. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come
39. Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Eternal Spirit of Light, grant us protection;
And in that protection, security;
And in that security, knowledge;
And in that knowledge, awareness;
And in that awareness, the awareness of the rightness of things;
And in that awareness, the love of it;
And through that love, to come to the love of all Creation;
And in the love of all Creation, the love of the Divine Spirit
And all Goodness, Beauty and Truth.
Other than this, All I can offer is "Treat others with respect and kindness, and others shall treat you with respect and kindness as well."
Can I suggest teaching open-mindedness as well? The ability to see and understand someone else's point of view, beliefs, or opinion and be able to admire and respect their decisions.
