I'm told Northern Ontario, Canada is the greatest and most beautiful place on earth. I am looking for boat tours that may be available. Are there any? I'm told there are but haven't had any success. Hope you can help

You won't find any this time of year but during the summer I suggest taking a Chief Commanda II cruise on Lake Nipissing in North Bay. Here's a link to their website:

There are but not this time of year... I live in Northern Ontario and I agree that is one of the most beautiful places on earth, I love to see it every day. There is one boat tour that I know of that I think you would like very much, its in Tobermory, Ontario on the Bruce Peninsula. The tour takes you out in a glass bottom boat through the crystal clear water of Lake Huron to see some of the 22 shipwrecks and beautiful islands of the Fathom Five National marine park, with a stop at Flowerpot Island.
Then if you wanted you could take the Chi-Cheemaun ferry to South Baymouth on Manitoulin Island where the scenery is absolutely incredible! and from there you can drive across the Island right onto the mainland Northern Ontario where the scenery changes yet again. The drive itself is quite beautiful because the exposed roadside bedrock constantly changes from layered sedimentary rock to white quartz, pink granite, there are beautiful rock islands in lakes, marshes and forests. Anyway I would say if you were going to take a boat tour and have a good look at the scenery of Northern Ontario (especially Manitoulin Island) thats probably the boat tour to take, the prices are fairly reasonable too. Here are links to all the information you would need to know to take the boat tour... http://www.pc.gc.ca/amnc-nmca/on/fathomfive/activ/index_e.asp

Actually I'm from Ontario and know Northern Ontario quite well.
The Rocky Mountains are more beautiful. Go to western Alberta
or British Columbia for scenic beauty.

Lake Superior in Ontario is quite interesting but is best done by canoe in the summer.

If you want scenic yet accessible beauty, try B.C.

If you want a river cruise in unadulterated wilderness, try
the Nahanni River in the North West Territories.

There is the MS Kenora in Kenora ON which is really nice. Or you can hire guides and boats as well.
