Use a facial cream especially for dry skin. You can also use a night cream at night. Use creams that have water-in-oil base rather than the oil-in-water base creams. If you are using soap on your face stop immediatly. Gentle cleansers are available and not to costly.

You are losing way to much water in your skin causing it to fake. The cream will only help to form a layer of protection. You must drink lots of water and avoid dehydrating drinks (alcohol example). Water is the best. Can't stop preaching its benefits.

Once in a while pamper your skin with some home-made masks.

Take care of yourself and just forget what people think.

whats he weather like where you are? Is it winter cold and dry?
Ive had the same problem in the past. I recommend an oatmeal face mask. Use oatmeal with cool water to make a paste. apply it all over your face and let it sit til it drys. All the moisture in the oatmeal will absorb into your skin. Also to keep it from getting dry again..I use cocoa butter (Palmer's in the jar) and sometimes even baby oil. If all that fails...See a dermatologist.

Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated and use a face pack of ripe bananas and honey. You can find more cheap, effective and natural home remedies for dry skin at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/dryskin.html

If you don't have a problem with acne, plain old petroleum jelly is a wonderful moisturizer - people in Scandanavia use it on their faces in the winter because other moisturizers have water in them, and in really cold weather the water just freezes. Try it on just a small area to begin with, see if it helps.
