I generally like my body, but I just want clothes to look better on me. I am pretty tall for a girl, 5'9", and I'm told I have a willowy frame. But I have big boobs that make me look thicker up top than I really should. I could stand to lose some pounds. But I don't just want lose some weight, I want to change my body shape. My obliques especially. What exercise program or form of exercise will lengthen, smooth, and polish my body? I need to give myself a makeover and feel happier. I'm sick of feeling so ugly.

If you have been discribed as "willowy" by others, it sounds like you have a very different self-image than what others see. "Willowy" usually means exactly what it implies, tall, slender, long limbs. I'm not sure how old you are but if you are in your early teens, chances are you haven't gotten used to your newly developed body. I remember how painful it was for me, especially graduating from a training bra to a real one. I was so self conscious of how I "stuck out" where I used to be flat. Don't let yourself be led astray by diet and exercise plans that promise to change the way you look drastically. If you are self conscious of your bust, there are minimizing bras that support without pushing everything up and out. If you are like me, I can't find clothes long enough in the sleeves or pant lengths. Todays styles are body clinging, form fitting, which, if you are self conscious, will make you feel worse. Find a friend, or someone you trust completely, and go on a clothes trying on spree. Find a style that you like and suits you. Go into stores that are normally not your style, or price range and HAVE FUN WITH IT. It costs nothing to shop and try on clothes, the decision to buy is up to you. This will give you a chance to check out new styles you may not have conisdered, and give you ideas for dfferent styles. Tall Girl (here in Canada) is great for taller women, better proportioned all over. Who knows, maybe you'll discover a love for sewing and make your own clothes. I'm not suggesting you don't exercise, exercise is an important part of daily life. Do it. But please be gentle on yourself, we are always our own worst critics. God made you beautiful just the way you are. Look in the mirror every day and find one thing to complement yourself on. Record those observations every day, and when you feel especially down, go back and read all those wonderful things about yourself. You are more wonderful than you may know. Believe that, OK?!

Yoga coupled with 3-6 weekly hour long sessions on mid range cardio. Zone 3. Eat natural foods only. Nothing processed, fruits veggies, cooked or raw, meats. Just don't eat anything packaged. Not only will you change your body shape and lose weight, you'll feel great! Just get through the first two weeks without asking ANY questions or giving into ANY thing and after that it'll become something you really look forward to.
If you're a person that needs a challenge to get her motivated, sign up for a race that requires you to train and get ready for it. In the meantime just make sure your diet is appropriate.
After 2 solid weeks of not cheating AT all give yourself one day a week to eat literally ANYTHING without any guilt. Don't count any calories on that day, eat whatever you want one day per week. And if you're going out to eat, take food home, don't eat all of it. Remember everything in moderation and balance and you'll do just fine :)
Good Luck!

Why not go to a gym and ask them to help you with a exercise program. More importantly you need to love yourself for who you are and how you look. Once you can truly do that then it doesn't matter. Once you like what you see in the mirror then everything else will fall into place.
