Some websites I visit automatically pop up with a message like that (or thereabouts), what does it mean, is someone tracking your isp?

it just means that some part of the website you are browsing requires some download to properly display the content and when you click to download, active X in this case, it is updating you so you will have all the joy the website intends for you to have. Active X is for java, games, and animation by the way.

When you are browsing to certain sites there are Active X Controls on the site for you to view them properly. However some sites use the Active X Controls to load malicious software on your system (spy-ware, ad-ware, virus). You have to be careful on which sites you wish to load Active X Controls from (Trusted Sites)

means I think that it wants to know if you want to update activeX controls. Not a bad idea to go to www.microsoft.com and run an update and see if you need it! Good Luck

no it means the site is trying to install someting on your pc usually related to the website (such as an online virus scanner etc).

only accept if the site is a well known trustworthy site as it can often be used by dodgy sites to install spyware or viruses.
