This is how I make it: 125g plain flour, pinch salt, 1 egg, 150ml milk. or 100 ml water and 50 ml beer. Mix tog flour and salt, make a well in centre, break in the egg. Add liquid gradually beating well until smooth. Should coat 3 fish fillets but depends on their size. When cooking fat is hot you coat each fillet with flour (with some salt and pepper added) both sides and then dip into batter, coating thoroughly then lower gently into the hot fat. Don't cook too many at a time or you lower the temp. which spoils the batter. Depends on thickness of fish but 5-10 mins should be ample.

I don't have a recipe....but I use a beer batter mix you can get at the grocery store. It is very good. We even make onion rings and fried mushrooms with it. Pretty versatile. Great on chicken and fish too!

Substitute a bottle of Becks for the liquid in a conventional batter recipe.

I use Bisquick bisquit mix and add either beer or buttermilk with a couple shakes of cayenne pepper sauce, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Make sure your oil is very hot before frying because the batter won't stick if it's not.

i don't know, but i have used the shop chip shop batter powder, but it didn't work for me, i've heard of adding yeast and extra eggs, also just plain beer. i have heard of adding baking powder , but i think that the bubbles come from getting the fat to the right temp. hope that helps. ready steady cook swear by sparkiling water, try tempura batter. cornflour/starch, sparkling water, egg white and whick not to much must stay lumoy and fry at correct temp. tried it once, but didn't work was not at the right temp. happy cooking, bon apetite.

all you have to do to have a nice breaded chicken or fish is dredge or roll the chicken/fish pieces in self rising flour then in buttermilk then back in the flour. Fry them up in oil and it will be crispy and tender. I like to make chicken fingers this way and serve it with my homemade honey mustard.

If perhaps it's a fruit they have seeds, otherwise it's a vegetable. And vegetables are usually grown in the ground while fruits are grown in trees.
