I know the bmw is more sporty to drive and holds it's resale, and is easy to maintain and all that practical stuff guys care about, but i want to know which one has more prestige. Here's the thing, i live in southern california, where everyone and their mother has a bmw. I think they look great, but i was thinking maybe just because there are so many of them on the road and they are just so trendy, it might be good to get something different. also, bmw is going to change their body style yet again, and the audi doesn't change too much, so you can't tell how old they are as much. I'll be buying used, like a 2002. Do you think it's good to go with the safe choice (bmw) or the more something that stands out, less trendy? guys, what would catch your eye more? it's between the audi A4 and the BMW 325i. THANKS!

they are both very good cars they are made for the autobahn so no speed limit=good, the Audi is more of a fancy sports car and the BMW is not that much of a fancy car its more for sports but what your looking at the 325i is basicly comparable to a civic si as far as speed, the audi does get better gas mileage and is much nice car
if it were me i would go for audi plus its one fast *** car

The A4 is a more luxurious car. Both are spartan by the way, it's the style preferred by the drivers of these types of cars. But you'll have a more pleasant ride in the A4. There are also more under the skin features in the A4 than the 325. Safety features as well as creature comforts. Resale is always a factor and a BMW does retain their value a bit more. But value is in the eye of the beholder. The same money to buy a used 325 will allow you to buy even a A6 Audi. And there is no comparison between the A6 and the 325.

Both are great cars but the only way to really make your decision is to...drive your final choices within 10 to 15 minutes of each other. Don't be shy about driving one car to the other Dealership for the comparo. The Salesmen love it!!

I think your best bet is not to worry about what other folks think and get what you want. Fact of the matter is, there isn't a single person on this planet, who is judgemental about what you drive, who is going to give you one red cent toward your car note, taxes, or insurance premiums.

If you are concerned about catching someone's eye, walk! More folks will see you this way. Better yet, buy a 1973 Ford Maverick. That will get everyone's attention.

I'm being silly here, but I'm not by myself. Just buy a good dependable car that you can reasonably afford, keep some money in your pocket and don't worry about what other folks think. Like I said before, nobody's going to pay your bills for you. But what do I know? I drive a 2003 Saturn.

I'd suggest a 2004 Acura TL or a 2004 Acura TSX for your consideration. Very nice vehicles and since they are made by Honda, you know you'll get quality and reliability. You'll get a newer car for your money, and Total Cost of Ownership should be less that the German Luxo cars you are considering.

OK sweety hare is the deal.
these cars are the product of man and the only thing it is standing for is how small they are (under the belt).
I live in Germany and i see these cars all day, if you think it is trendy and every one and their mother has one, then why do you want to be like every one els...
here is what i would do you want a BMW then get a mini cooper there made by BMW and Rover great car small but with power under the hood (under the belt) a girl that is in cal... driving one of those with the top down (ill tell you ) will turn heads....
