I'd deal with it directly, probably tell the person that I was flattered but not interested. I'm very straightforward about such matters and it's been my experience that it is the best approach. Being coy would only result in a continued pursuit. There's no reason not to be kind when rejecting someone, unless they are being a real jerk.

well last night a guy followed me round the club i was in.
what did i do?
i ignored him until he deliberately walked into me and spilt my drink over my friend.
lucky for me my boyfriends brother is a bouncer and he had been keeping an eye on this annoyance of a man and the guy was soon thrown out.
usually tho i just ignore them and get on with life.
