My boyfriend has this thing, he can't leave my hair alone! My mom has always said, that a man shouldn't play with your hair, that it will damage it. Is this true?

That is not true. You shouldn't let him rip, tear, or otherwise obviously damage your hair. That's a given.

that isn't true my hair is at my but. It grow extremely fast OK, I had 11 wet cut of and 4 months later it's back !My hubby plays with my hair all the time!

Your mom knows what it feels like to have her hair played with..that is why she is against it...it CANNOT harm your hair. What is better than having your hair played with...(well besides it being pulled)

I think the more u play or touch ur hair it gets greasy. I don't know if it gets damage. I don't like people touching my hair.

I assume he is only playing with it, right? Then it is even good, hair takes it as a massage and starts shining. That's why they say after washing your hair it is good to comb it with your fingers, not so much with a comb, too.
As long as there is no pulling involved, it's ok.

don't worry you wont lose your hair! It's sth good that your boyfriend wants to play with your hair...it shows that he really cares about you...so just enjoy it

my cat is the same way. seriously though, men love hair. it won't get damaged as long as you don't let him brush it. i don't know what it is but men don't know how to work a brush properly.
