Yes. It loses its effectiveness after a date.

Yes - medication does expire. The substances can oxidize or be impacted by light or just morph into a different crystalline structure over time and getting different absorption etc. properties.

Some drugs change quite a bit and decompose fast and others do that process very slow. It is a good idea to check the expiration date therefore and not take drugs which are beyond.

Yes, medication expires, yours was on August 21,2002 so they are not going to be much good to you, a matter of fact some medication taken when expire can harm you hence the the 'expired date' always keep an eye on these little things its you health we are talking about here right!....and about disposing of old med's if you can take them back to your pharmacy for dispasal that would be cool, if you can't, don't put them in your trash, flush them down the toilet that way little kids, pets, and the homeless cannot get to them and hurt themselves.
A suggestion: clean out you medicine cabinet frequently and make note of med's date. Just trying to keep you safe bud, and speedy recovery to you!!!

Yes.

Think that your medicine is made of several chemicals. In the blending of those chemicals, there are bonds created and thus over time, those bonds can... lapse or change.

If the medicine was 3 months out of 'code' it might not be a big deal and might actually do what the medication is supposed to do.. but 4 years? That's quite a stretch, don't ya think?

yes, it does. Once it reaches it point of date the medicine isnt woirth taking because it will decrease its strength. So once it ends the date. Toss it and get it

Medication does expire, but not in the way that makes you sick. It doesn't spoil like milk does, but it just doesn't work the way it's supposed to anymore.

Yes, its potency usually decreases, and new developments result in the periodic release of better drugs. You should get your RX renewed.
