Why does DeAnn O say nothing spicy? Birds love chilli and it is good for them. I think DeAnn is confused and means to say not salty.
Most things you eat your bird can eat, just made without salt , fat oil etc. A bird cant have milk so share your unsweeted, no milk breafast cereal with your bird.

Dont feed a parrot: alcohol, caffine, avocardo, mushroom, chocolate and some people say no parsley or rhubarb.
The basic diet should be a mix of veggie, fruit, a little pellets and a little seed.
Extra treats are peanuts, unsalted popcorn, chicken or chicken bone(well cooked) peanut butter, birdie bread, scrambled, boiled eggs - not fried. Birds can also have rice and pasta. Hard cheese is also ok, but not everyday.

Well, honestly when I told a vet here in the USA that I let mine eat whatever I eat in addition to seeds and spray mulett she said that was the best thing I could do. So mine ate everything with me (except choclate). He lived a long time.

Cockatiels can eat lettuce, carrots, corn, apples, banana's, cantaloupe, pineapple. Boiled noodles with no salt and hard boiled eggs. Honey Cheerios, and you can go to the pet store and get different treats, I buy the one that's made of seeds and honey and bananas. They love it. Hope this helps.

How about an English muffin; as they really don't have them in England, it would be a treat.

You can give him fruit's and vegetable's, as long as they don't have seeds. DON'T GIVE HIM ANY THING SPICY!!!!! You can also buy treats at your local pet store or even at Wall Mart.
