I think Celtic need to think about it like this, how many games will he start next season and how many assist will he make and how many goals will he score. Then ask themself if he is the best player in the team for making or scoring goals. If he is not, then he has no right to ask for big wages.
If he goes to England, like miller then his future is over.
The real question is Does Shawn Maloney want to play for Celtic or get the best pay deal.

No football player should be paid that sort of money. Some of the Premiership players in England are reportedly on £120,000 per week -- discusting! If they got that amount per YEAR, they would be very well paid.
What do some of our best Consultants/doctors get paid? And they are saving lives.
It's the mugs who pay at the turnstiles are the fools.

well the answer to your question is yes but is playing for CELTIC these days all about money...playing for CELTIC should be a pleasure not a money making scam like whats happening south of the border...CELTIC football club is one of the most historical clubs around an should be kept that way as money will only destroy a club in the long term..look at MAN U an CHELSEA for god sake they buy the league day in day out...an yet they still cant beat CELTIC...up the HOOPS!!!
