Yelling is not good for your voice. Maybe you could listen to an mp3 or cd player if your job allows that. But if it starts getting stressful and loud the best thing you might do is just go take a walk for 10-15 minutes.

Actually just yell anything, especially out of the ordinary like it's snowing outside or LOOK, at the dead bird flying. I know shut up would work much better but then you will have many mad people, so try humor to get things quiet. Or ask polightly, things are a bit too loud can you please tone it down? People will respond to something nice than to obscene. Try the humor, it does work! What about the things you put in your ears to drown out the sound?

Don't yell, stand up, politely ask everyone to keep the noise down so you can concentrate on what you're doing. If they have a chronic problem with being too noisy, start job shopping...

Tempting as it is to yell...but you can't. Some people are so inconsiderate.
What I do is listen to my MP3 player and drown everyone else out.

Speak to someone in an authoritive position about the noise and how it bothers you...Maybe you arent cut out for this kind of work.
