well its hard to change a dog or as people say you cant teach an old dog a new trick. I dont really believe that but most of all its just dicipline it will be hard at times to dicipline your dog but if you truely want something to stop you have to go all the way to fix it let your dog know whoes boss. Be very encouraging and if he does something right reward him you dont want to end up with a depressed dog!

Um...he is neutered! LOL!
Okay. He is like this because you allowed him to be, and enforced the behavior.
He feels he is the alpha and he runs the place.
Here's a list of things to do to get things under control:
1. Do not free feed. Schedule feeding and pick up whatever the dog doesn't eat in 15 minutes. Don't offer any treats or food until the next scheduled feeding time. Make your dog "sit" before giving him his food, and give the release command "okay" before letting him eat.
2. Revoke furniture priveleges.
3. Close off all bedrooms to him.
4. Do obedience training.
5. Don't give him any attention or anything else unless he performs a command for you first.
6. Walk him more.
7. Crate train him.
Good luck! Everyone must follow the same set of rules in order for this to work!

Yes, there is a cure - it's called training. Stop treating your dog like a baby and treat him like a dog. Take him to obedience classes where a qualified instructor can teach you how to train your dog. Then you'll have a pet who's a joy to be around and a great companion instead of a pest. By the way, males don't get spayed, they get neutered.

The Dog Whisperer did the following to an aggressive dog- and this one was a bulldog: he grabbed the dog by the neck and pinned him down- still somewhat gently but assertively.... he said that this is what dog mothers do to discipline their young. He also put the dog on his back and with his thumb and pointer finger in the neck (front neck this time) he kept the dog fixed in that position until he was no longer extremely angry. Another thing he pointed out was that you shouldn't have you dog on your lap behaving like he is above you- this is obvious by the neck stretched out somewhat looking from above down to you- yup.... even toy dogs can do this. You should never give your dog the feeling that he/she can dominate you.

Golden Retrievers are evidently very pleased canines. certain, they're going to be bouncy in the journey that they are no longer educated. the sturdy ingredient is, you are able to prepare her to no longer leap and it would want to diminish down the barking besides. you do not might want to eliminate her for this problem. First, teach her sit down and stay. once she has mastered those instructions, you are able to bypass onto the subsequent step. Have some treats reachable, positioned a leash on her, and function someone knock on the door and stroll in. at the same time as she jumps up on the guy, firmly say no and promises a tender yet efficient pull on the leash. you do not favor to deliver her flying backwards, so do not pull that puzzling. despite the indisputable fact that, you do favor to pull puzzling sufficient to get her off the guy. once all 4 of her paws are on the floor, get her right into a sit down and stay. at the same time as she continues to be, supply her a deal with and think ofyou've got the guy supply her a deal with besides. If she receives as a lot as leap, back say no and promises a tender correction with the leash. She's nonetheless youthful, so she has a great number of time to benefit, yet that still ability she has so much better power. because goldens are very social, they're going to get excited at the same time as human beings visit; you are able to actual prepare her. purely be constructive to be affected human being. do not hit her in besides, and do not yell at her. also, do not punish her if she doesn't comprehend it. in my opinion, making use of constructive reinforcement to coach your canines will remedy your problem once you're committed. sturdy success.

Step 2 go for a walk. but dont let him walk in front of you let u and ur dog be side by side. Step 3 dont ever let her get on top of u cause well then she will think she is the boss. Step 4 she barks give her a punishment like if she poops on the ground put her face in the poop to tell her wat she did rong. Take he outside for a walk or in the back and play with her mabey she just wants to play a game. And for a reward give her a treat or love.
