Alan and aali_and_ That's nice and we are all concerned about the state of things in Israel right now and that war also, but that's not what this question is about. That's a separate issue and maybe I'll ask about the Jews and Muslims in my next question.

there is a marked difference of believes but still there was a possibility of that but now media has dragged them soo much apart that its realy impossible for now...muslims are angry about killings in Iraq , Afghanistan and palestine and christains are angry about 9/11 and london bombings.....and media is making things even worse . Well on indiviual level it is possible but not for whole community..

In the early days of Islam, Christians sheltered the followers of Mohammad from persecution by the rulers of Mecca.
While Christians and Muslims fought bloody wars, there was always some genuine admiration among them. The last Pope was one of the few leaders who spoke up against the Mohammad cartoons by the Danish bloke.
I am Muslim and have a better relationship with Christians than I have with many Muslims...while Muslim men sends me insulting Emails here, I always have great Email dialogs with many Christian Gentlemen here.
I have always said that Muslims and Christians need not fight each other; remove politics and traditions from both beliefs and Christians and Muslims will be visions of peaceful living; the problem is not our beliefs...it's all politics.

Generally, Christians and Muslims have always got along. Even during the Crusades, Christian and Muslim warriors admired each other. The Muslim general Saladin was very friendly with his enemy King Richard of England.
When Muslims ruled parts of Spain during the Middle ages, the Spanish Christian Warrior, El Cid had great friends among the Muslims.

I have nothing against Christians and as far as I'm aware as a Muslim no other Muslims have problems with them either. We have different religions does not mean i dislike Christians. I don't know where you are coming from. As far as I'm concerned there is peace between us.

I have no resentment towards Christians, for what???
If Christians feel differently that's there perspective not mine.
You are making a generalization. I as a Muslim and Muslims i KNOW don't feel like we are at any kind of war or disagreement with Christians.
Try stating what you think there is for Muslims are exactly not at peace with Christians about. Because i have heard of nothing.
So you tell me, spell it out what is the problem Muslims have with Christians.

Hmmm I'd be more concerned about the Jews and Muslims the way things are lookin' in Israel these days. Ironically Judaism and Islam have more in common LOL!

You have been speedy to point that it occurs interior the U.S. that's bullcrap if I ever heard it. That in basic terms occurs to a very small percenatge of folk. real, a lot of human beings international toss their mothers and fathers interior the nursing properties. yet for many it isn't any longer an basic chioce. they are able to furnish the care many persons are no longer able and untrained to do. As one physician instructed me, it is in basic terms happened in the final one hundred years that individuals have started to stay so long. there is not any longer sufficient records to end why Alzhemier's & dimentia take place. they are engaged on it. you apart from would did no longer point out that there are elderly people who circulate into retirement properties by using decision. You seem to be a extremely sensible & being concerned individual. do no longer enable different peoples selections be your project. worry extra approximately what you're doing fairly than what different persons are doing and that i will assure you which you would be a extra effective individual. by using ways, I neither have faith in God, the Bible, & under no circumstances that roll of loo paper noted as the Quran to appreciate what's suited and what's incorrect. i replaced into born with a feeling of excellent and incorrect and that i do no longer desire that crap to tell me what to do.

Hummm ... you left the Jews out of your question.

But I would say that if the three major religions don't learn to have genuine, heart-felt peace between them - then they are probably going to end up blowing up the world and killing us all.

So, I am praying - YES.

Perhaps between individuals, but as a whole, no.

Islamic of the East remember the Crusades as if it was yesterday. They hold anger for the murders committed by so-called christians over 400 years ago! According to them, all Christians (now) are still to be held accountable for the actions of some people centuries ago. On top of that, is the multitude of scriptures in the Koran urging Moslems to kill people who won't submit to Islam.

Christians cannot accept Islam as even a newer form of prophecy, or as brother believers. The "angel" that gave Mohammed his "revelation" denied that Jesus is the Christ.

As long as religions operate under the belief that they and only they are right you will never see true heartfelt peace between faiths. Strife between various faiths is a natural outcome of the arrogance that most religions practice.

Due to the inherently intolerant nature of religion this could only happen if one of two things happened.

1. The two faiths merged and all the followers went along with it or
2. All the followers realised they were wrong and disowned their respective religions (even more unlikely).

History shows that Christian/Muslim relations are more often hostile than friendly.
