I have a low pain barrier (bit of a wimp really) but I was able to go through laser treatment ok - most places have a machine that blows cold air onto the area to be treated first or one of the newer machines that has a cooling section on the tip - both of these mean that the area is chilled before being lasered and you really do just feel a sharp pin prick feeling that is very quick. Some people also have icepacks they place on the skin for a few seconds before treatment and again this numbs the are a bit before treatment. Afterwards I found my skin was not painful or sore but did feel very hot (a nice creamy moisteriser works wonders on this) and the redness I had faded in a few hours although I was told that some people have redness for a few days.

Laser treatment usually needs a few treatments to fully see effects but in my opinion is well worth it. Laser treatment zaps the hair root so it completely stops a new hair forming, however for every hair coming out of a follicle you do have loads more follicles around it where new hairs can appear in the future. It may be that these follicles would never start develping hairs but after my laser treatment sessions I noticed new hairs appearing about 18 months later, so although laser treatment is permanent it does not mean you will not still have hairs in the future.

Hope this helps

The treatment feels like a rubber band snapping the skin with a
temporary stinging sensation afterwards. Anesthetic cream can be used for this discomfort if you would prefer. Most people require no medications for the treatments. Applying ice off and on for 20 minute intervals for 3 hours after the treatment minimizes redness and puffiness that can occur.

Face, armpits and bikini areas require approximately 3-4 treatments at 6-8 weeks apart. For all other areas, treatments are
spaced at 3 months apart for 3-4 treatments.

Relying on which sort of lasering you decide to get (one-of-a-kind locations offer one of a kind forms). Some of it could possibly make your epidermis get away for a couple of days, some doesn't. When you've got touchy epidermis i suggest consulting the person doing the lasering. You can be able to get a free session depending upon the position.

Laser hair removal is “permanent” hair removal method but is expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.
