I don't do it.
As far as music, I do have some copies of stuff that I didn't pay for, and I do actually feel bad about some of it. When Christmas and birthdays come around I take a look at the music I have, figure out what I have that I probably would have bought if I didn't have the chance to copy if for free, and put that on my gift list. I like to have the CDs as a backup anyway.
I do have music I don't quite want to delete, yet know I never would have paid money for, and I don't feel bad about that. It's stuff I never would have been exposed to otherwise, and they had their chance to impress me enough to get me to pay for it. I have lots of CDs that I would never have bought--or even heard--if I hadn't had free copies first.

This is not right, that's why you feel guilty. I write this as muslim and from my knowledge of Islam, so can't cite any ref: Overall in Islam, EVERYTHING belongs to Alla(swt) and what ever we have is on loan, and guardianship. ( even the food we have on our hand does not become ours until it is eaten) From what Allah(swt) has given us, some can be considered private property and some as public property. From the public property, there are some things you can use without permission, and other things you need permission to use. 1. In Islam, in a community of muslims, you can leave what is considered your private property, unguarded in a public place and not expect it to be harmed, stolen or used without permission. No one should interfere with it unless it is to protect it and prevent loss to the owner. 2. If some one does use or take such a property, then that property/item becomes ***** for everyone, except the rightful owner, and therefor cannot be used by any other muslim. So I would consider the game/program to be private property and there for ***** unless you had permission to use it. Ps Besides it being *****, such things usually end up taking a lot of your time and lead to further bad actions, depending on the content of the game! and keep you from doing good deeds ( i say that from personal experience)

No - I'm not going to pay for something that is "Virtual". I mean, I cant actually say it is MY mp3 can I? And the bank cant reposes it - so I Will not pay for any software / media.
GO OPEN SOURCE!
Oh, and stuff like Games you buy bug me - Like Half Life 2 - I meet of the games requirements - infact, I exceed them - and the stupid game refuses to work. Same with NFS Carbon - so I payed alot of good money to try and support EA and who ever - and then the stupid software wont work! And can I return it? NO! That sucks. So I will NEVER buy a game again for as long as I live - I will get a torrent and download it over my very fast internet connection at school - so that the government can pay all necessary internet fees

I try to avoid downloading stuff from Limewire/etc. But sometimes the pirating of software such as Photoshop is necessary, and it does qualm me.

I think about it as sharing, if you do it peer to peer sharing.
I know people work hard on the stuff but some of it is crap, or I can't find it being sold anywhere.
