The only thing I fear is acting like my mom, wanting everyone of my daughters and sons to do what she wants. I am a lot like my mom, but I can also say that they have set such a great example for me. I am afraid that my future husband will be like his parents, his dad gets upset about whatever, and his mom is always complaining about everything, I do not want to have to deal with all that when I get married. That's all, oh, that was a pretty good question too. Bye. Good Luck in Life.

Yep, in every way possible!!I try really hard with my boys not to repeat the same mistakes that my parents made-Oh My God!!! I had one of the most pitiful upbringings that a child could possibly receive! Out of the whole situation I would say the emotional abuse was the most damaging and I swore to God I would never be that way-I know I'm succeeding when my children tell me that I'm totally different from Grandma! I just smile and once again "Thank God"!

Becoming like your parents is inevitable. Face it, they raised you and the things they taught you will forever be part of you. With will and determination, you can keep from doing things your parents did that you disagree with. But at a moment's notice, something will slip out of your mouth and you'll say, "I am becoming my parents!!"

I'd be proud to turn out like my parents. Sure there are some things I'd change, but overall I couldn't have asked for better parents. Hey, they can't be to bad... they raised me and well I'm pretty amazing!!!=)

I THINK EVERYONE HAS THAT FEELING AT SOME POINT OR ANOTHER. BUT IM ALSO SURE THAT THE FEELING OF NOT WANTING BE LIKE YOUR PARENTS WHEN IT COMES TO BAD THINGS THEY MAY HAVE DONE IS ALSO RECIPROCATED.... MEANING THEY DONT WANT US TO DO THOSE THINGS EITHER. THEY WANT THE BEST FOR US.

If I am half the man my father is, and half as strong as my mother is, then I'll do alright.
If I were to become like my parents, I'd be hard working, respectable people who raise their family right.

Yeah, I am afraid of that.
My grandparents and father used to be alcoholics. That's why I don't go near the stuff now. I used to drink quite a bit in school, but not anymore! No thanks!
