My boyfriend and I are discussing the possibility of getting married next Dec. 2007 - and I was wondering what are some good destinations for a honeymoon during December? We don't want to do like Caribbean but something more exciting either in Europe (Mediterranean) or possibly Austrailia/New Zeland.

if you don't want to go to the carribbean here are some ideas:
1) Greece (Crete and Corfu are really nice)
2) Israel
3) Majorca, Spain
4) Brazil (it's summer in the Southern Hemisphere)
5) Durban, South African (beautiful beaches and it's summer down there in the Southern Hemisphere)
6) Melbourne, Australia (again, Southern Hemisphere summer)
7) Sydney, Australia
8) Auckland, New Zealand

Europe is really charming in the winter if you can stand the cold. Amsterdam is lovely in the winter and a great place to be cold outside, but warm and toasty indoors. Of course, Asian Pacific islands are really nice in the winter. Stay at the Four Seasons in Bali if you can for your honeymoon. Most amazing place for a honeymoon.

If you do not mind the snow and cold I would suggest going skiing somewhere. If you want to get away from the real wintery climate South Florida is a very pretty place to go. If you like the night life it's amazingly fun on South Beach and you can just walk accross the street at night and take a romantic walk on the beach.

The best place is Mt ABU ,at Rajasthan --220 km from Ahmedabad and 256 km from Jaipur on 3000 ft hight ,lovely Hilly place with 1 degree temp and near by lake Nakki will keep you mesmeric .

Depends on what you want...the beach? Skiing? For us, we like the beach. My husband and I are leaving for Hawaii tomorrow for our Honeymoon. Right now it's in the 80's and sunny.

I think an African Safari would be spectacular! Adventure and romance, a great combination! Even an Alaskan cruise would be wonderful . I've known many people that have gone and they had such a great time and the pictures they have shared have been breathtaking.

In December anything south of the equator or near the equator will be nice.
Remember when it's our winter here in the State (I'm assuming you are in the USA) it's their summer.

why not try Gibraltar. its in the med and its got monkeys and a great bar called the nelson (in the main square) me and my wife got wed there and it was brilliant! and its cheaper than oz.you can do a package where its all in. stay at the 'rock' if you go, plus its recognised in UK so you don't have to pay for the translation...good luck!
