Great question. Since you already know about our beliefs in salvation, I wont go that route. But, thre is so much more than eternal security, and heaven. Being a Christian fundamentlaist, if one REALLY IS THAT, and not just saying that, means many things. It means we can love everyone, and not have hatred for anyone, which brings forgiveness and peace. We can hate what a person does, but still love them and pray for them. This whole thing alone, is such an upper, because it keeps you in a peace mode, and not angry at everyone all the time. We dont seek revenge, we leave that to God, to do what He KNOWS is best for another person. And talk about freedom. Athiests thinks we Christians have to give up so much good. Example, no premarital sex. Good? No, we have the right to not do that and be happy about it. No unwanted babies, no being a single mom raising a baby and no help from dad, no stds, and ruined reputations. we are free of all of that, when we follow God. We are free to keep our respect and honor that comes from God. We dont have a world to impress or copy by being like they are for acceptance. A true Christian seeks love, but they only need Gods love to survive. If He is happy with us, then we are happy. I am talking about a true fundamentalist Christian now, not one claiming that, and not acting a thing like Jesus. they just use the label. Being Christian means being a follower of Jesus, loving Him, acting like Him, obeying Him....... What a priviledge.
I can see and do only pure and holy things and love and enjoy them. I dont have to have any part of gutter filth just to be IN in society. I am free of all the nonsense, and its worth everything. Jesus sacrificed His all for us, and it is our priviledge to sacrifice for Him. He just wants our love and obedience. Well thats easy. He never asks us to give up anything that is good for us, only the things that lead to hell and destruction. Pretty awesome our God ,,huh/ Yet, the devil makes the world think of how they miss out on so much and have to give up so much to be Christian, and ppl run from it in fear. The devil loves it, he can lead so many to destruction and hell, and yet make them think that its worth it, cuz they dont want to give up this or that.
God teaches us to be loving and giving, and forgiving. Thats so wonderful, dont have to habor grudges, no hate... what a wonderful life. So, who is really free, the athiest or the Christian? Much to think about. I have listed only a few benefits of Being Christian, I would need to write books to even come close to a full answer. a life of love and forgivenss is worth so much, wouldnt trade it for the world. I have the priviledge of loving someone and forgiving them, and helping them to get backon track again, instead of giving up of themselves and life. Do you know what treasure that is? Worth more than all the silver and gold in the world. Hope I answered you just a little.

When I WAS a fundamentalist, one thing I liked was that "I was right, and I knew it." It gave me a sense of security and quite honestly one of superiority. Granted, I totally glossed over the parts about being humble, but hey...I had all the answers! Coming to the point of admitting that I could be wrong, or that some things about the Bible just don't make logical sense has been one of the most difficult things that I have gone through. But in the end, it has brought me closer to God, as the "prideveil" I had before is no longer blinding my eyes. I can adjust my views with what makes sense rather than a naziesque "I'm right, and you're wrong!"

First of all I'm not your typical Christian, however since I live my life in Jesus footsteps i believe i can answer your question.
Everybody around me and everybody I meet likes me; there is never any hate or fighting. I think the main reason for this is because of how i live. I do not sin. That's right I don't even lie (not even a white lie). I live by the policy; treat everybody around you as you would want them to treat you or that you would treat yourself.
These things combined have gave me extreme peace in my life. It has also had some major benifets; One of these are that i never have to worry about anything; including money. If a hard time comes at least 10 people will come over and do whatever they can to help me out. I would say I inturn do it for them also, however that is only partly true. I do whatever I can for anybody; whether I know them or not.
I hope this answered your question.

I think your question is a valid one.
My personal experience: (although there are certain connotations of the word "fundamentalist" I would certainly part ways with)
Being a Christian, I found
1. understanding of who I am and who I was created to be.
2. understanding of the meaning of life and the meanign of my life
3. peace
4. happiness
5. a capacity to love, to fogive, to show compassion that I never had before,
6. an outlet for my creativity
7. a source of comfort and healing
8. a fountain of pleasure, joy, laughter
9. a foundation to build my future on
This is not to say anything about how God provided jobs, money, houses, wonderful family, wonderful children, wonderful friends, supernatural healings, etc.
God bless!!

My relationships with others are deeper and different. The way that I see the world is different. I know last peace and joy. I know the truth. I am free. When God gave us a standard to follow He was being a cosmic kill-joy. He just wanted what was best. Take pre-marital (or extra-marital) sex it has been proven in studies that people who wait until they are married and have sex with only that person have the healthiest and most fulfilling sex lives. God did not want us to have what is good He wanted us to have what was best.

I like being a Fundamentalist Christian because it means I don't have to think, question my beliefs, or be bothered with having coherent reasons for my opinions. I also like the fact that I get to hate and condemn everyone while feeling super-Holy myself. It also is fun to try to run everyone else's life by using government as a tool to promote my own religious agenda. Feeling like I am right all the time makes me feel safe and secure.

that is genuine that writers, and "historians" who say they're Christians are distorting the record of the previous. yet with the intention to be precise, it should be stated that there are Christians who are not doing this. so a approaches because the witchtrials, those who're Christian do not homicide human beings for believing the option of them. Whoever instructed you that Christians attempt this style of ingredient needs to outline what a Christian is. we choose a separation between faith and crime. you're top about Lincoln, Einstein, and Davinci. Lincoln change into an atheist, Einstein on the minimum change into agnostic, and no one is conscious on Davinci. Paper doesn't very last thousands of years. so a approaches as outright holocaust denial, in straight forward words a lunatic fringe does that. There are writers who do question the accuracy of the information. mendacity about numbers received't ward off yet another holocaust. Calling it mass homicide, rape, and torture might want to truly reason the right quantity of revulsion in human beings's hearts and minds.words HAVE meaning OR they don't. There are not any regularly happening files for the crusades. Paper doesn't very last one thousand years. the first books written on the concern were written around the 1850s. historic previous is a huge style of delusion any way. The ruling powers of each and every and any usa rewrite the previous each and every of the time to achieve and preserve their means over the lives of human beings. Christians are commanded through the hot testomony to benefit. to benefit, one might want to imagine, and not in any respect be gullible. maximum historic previous writers, inspite of said religious beliefs, write books to make funds, no longer to inform anybody what truly occurred. you're someone, allowed to personal your self, and your beliefs. i'm hoping you outline what a Christian is through how Jesus lived. a large style of Christians do not imagine i'm a Christian, and that i usually do not recognize for constructive, both. As to historic previous itself, residing in the previous doesn't ward off blunders. the way historic previous is taught, written, and repeated is truly reinforcing oppression and homicide as valid.

Good luck. You are dealing with fundamentalists here. The whole purpose of their thought structure is to limit all ideas to one rigid and consuming idea. They do it because it gives them a sense of security, it reduces all problems to one problem, it provides an escape from the complexity of life and it eliminates the problem of confusion and uncertainty. If you don't believe in my assessment, simply read their answers.
