Millions. Many millions, throughout history. But GOD (not the imaginary gods you are referring to, but the ONE and ONLY TRUE GOD there is) had nothing to do with them,

Men were created free to decide what they wanted to do. And men's greediness, ambition and arrogance are the only responsible party for these millions Of dead people. What happens is that many of these "holy wars" were undertaken by people who used the name of GOD.

For instance, Mr. Bush attacked Iraq by saying that "America will prevail because God is by her side".

During the Crusades, Christians and Muslims killed each other in the name of God. And now some Muslims are terrorists in the name of God.

But those that DO NOT believe in GOD are no better. Hitler, Stalin and Mao Se Tung were atheists and you can credit them for having killed more than 100 million people amongst the 3 of them.

So you see, God has nothing to do with it.

It is just our responsibility.

They are not "MY" Holy wars since I have never started nor fought in one. Wars happen because heads of "nations" and people want it to. Many wars didnt have any religious affliation at all but when the leader would claim it was over money, gold, freedom or whatever... people rebelled. So, often times they tag "Holy" on to it just so it sounds more important. Like "ok so you dont think gold and money are good enough reasons to fight? How about if GOD said we had to??" And it then gets tagged a "holy war"

So what's your point? If they weren't religious wars, they'd be wars over water or food or something else. Second world war was not religious, but it killed about 40 million people world wide.
Violence is a part of human nature. The less developed the human - the more violence is in him.

How many people in this world have been colonized and taken over so Americans can get rich by their oil, or by using their people as slaves in history? hmm. Oh the questions! This is a country that got rich on the work of slaves. Greed is just as terrible a factor in history as religion. People are just violent. If religion were gone they would think of something else to spill blood over. Dont fool yourself.

All wars are begun by ungodly men. War is an expression of the sin of pride.
