responsible is still out there free. I lost my brother in 9/11. His sons joined the army out of respect for him, so that his death wouldn't go unavenged. They believed in the what the admistration said and even stayed true after it was brought to light that this same admisnistration lied to them. 8 months ago I lost one of my nephews, 31 hours ago I lost the other one. There will be no one now to keep our family bloodline going and for the first time even I am asking how much more does this country and the people in it have to lose? My brothers kids were good ones, full of promise. One in med school and the other in law school. So, tell me if this war is the right thing how come we only see more death and tragedy. Sadam was brought down long ago has that put a dent in the killing? And when will the man who took my brother's life be brought down? When do we spend more time on finding him? Maybe someone out there can help me see what my nephews died believing in, cause I just don't...

I am constantly amazed by some of the people on here that take the time to say both hearless and cruel things...how sad your life must be when you choose to kick someone when they were simply trying to find an answer as to why things happen the way they do. I never thought I'd ever think it might not be so bad to leave this world after all. I was recently diagonised with terminal cancer. This is my 4th time to fight this illness and I've had a very good life. After reading some of the answers I got more and more it seems like I will for sure being going to a better place where people aren't do cruel and hateful with their words to people they don't even know...

I am very sorry to hear about your losses. Personally though, I think you need to be asking our politicians about this as well. They are ultimately the ones who poor planning put our troops further in harms way then they had to be. Yet they are suppose to be elected to serve the American people. I have yet to see how the war in Iraq has done that, or has made the U.S. in any way safer.

With the change in congress, maybe there will finally be a change in policy concerning Iraq. But either way, don't let them get away with needlessly squandering more human life in that region.

Get politically involved, make your voice heard. The sooner our government gets the hint that we shouldn't be fighting an Iraqi civil war the sooner we can bring our troops home, and maybe even focus on capturing the real criminals responsible for 9/11. I just think it's sad that after all this time that it's still Bill Clinton that can claim he came the closest to capturing Osama bin Laden, it just goes to show how misplaced the White Houses priorities actually are.

I'm sorry about the loss of your nephews. I did read a few reports about Afghanistan and it's sounds like the Afghanistan army is a lot farther along then the Iraqi army is. That's one reason we aren't as big of a force in Afghanistan anymore. Another thing I read is that the Afghanistan army doesn't like fighting along side American troops against their own people.

And since you have sons in the military you must also realize their are things going on behind what is actually reported, so don't think we aren't searching out Bin Laden, since I know we still are, even thou we will not see a report on it, until we succeed in finding and capturing him.

Sorry for your losses, and they are unexcusable. I truly feel this was simply an act by one crazy man and his followers and not the entire middle east. I feel this full fledged war was merely a reason for the current administration to protect its own investment in oil since the Bush family wealth stems from that industry. Unfortunately for everyone, we will have to cross our fingers and hope that the new administration will change things, as the current one has vowed not to.

I am sad for your loss, but as I told younger guys when we were in Nam. They don't call it war cause be are having a pillow fight. Right now your posting from grief and not logic. I pray that you will see the rightness of what we have done and still need to do in the future. Imagine how Mrs. Sullivan felt when she lost 5 in one battle.

While I'm sorry for your loss, very sorry, I fail to see how in any way they were lied to.

Saddam was a hard core active participant in terrorism, genocide, and according to the NYT, he was even working to reintroduce his nuclear ambitions as lat as 2002.

Are you talking about those 16 words Bush uttered in the SOTU?

Come now, if that was Bush lying, then everyone lied, from Maddy Albright to the lefts darling little Clintoon. England, Spain, Germany, France, they all lied. Because until we got to Iraq, there wasn't a single voice of opposition to Saddam being capable of and retaining WMD.

Because Saddam was brought down doesn't mean the war is over. We still have to battle insurgents and terrorists that come from other countries because Iraq isn't exactly a superpower.

Sorry for your Loss.

I to feel your pain. My cousin and uncle are both deceased because of this war. BUT!!! There are no dang lies. Everything from terror ties to WMDs have been found, uncovered, sliced, housed, pecked, seen, cased, etc etc.

I am up to my eyeballs in hearing this LIE rherotic. The dang war is simple: Saddam hid WMDs. Please, go look for yourself:
Search this: Saddam Terrorist Ties then Saddam WMD ties

Those simple 2 phrases will bring up a grand total of 2000+ news articles and reads on the topic. It was our f-ed media that has fed us these lies. Not the Govt.

Thanks

Yes, death is tragic for any family. I won't apologize for your loss, but I can relate to the hurt you feel.

I have lost fellow soldiers myself. People VOLUNTEER to be in the military. Anyone who joins the military now know daggone well there may be a high possibility they will die, go missing, or be captured. We swore that we would defend against all enemies foreign and domestic (whatever it takes) WE ARE SOLDIERS!!!! We fight for America!

However! I believe in God. I believe that God sent his only son to die for our sins that we may have enternal life. I have accepted Jesus as my Savior. I can rest well knowing that if I die, I am going to heaven. My soul is saved and that is all that matters. So for anyone who know that they are dying, GET IT RIGHT WITH GOD! Only Jesus can save you.

My response may be harsh, but it is reality.

THAT'S TOO BAD MY CONDOLENCES FOR YOUR BROTHER AND NEPHEWS. THEY DIED AS HEROES.
WAR IS ALL ABOUT DEATH AND TRAGEDY. NOTHING GOOD COMES FROM WAR. LOST ON BOTH SIDES IS ENORMOUS. COMFORT YOURSELF IN THE FACT THAT THEY DIED FOR SOMETHING THAT THEY BELIEVED IN. HONOR THEIR MEMORY. I WILL PREY FOR YOUR FAMILY. GOD BLESS AND GOOD LUCK.
