I agree with you... Let the women choose what they would or wouldn't like... I am planning to visit Turkey and maybe get the picture of what's going on there first hand... I was shocked for the first time some years back when watching news... A lady who was a member of the Turkish parliament entered wearing Hijab... and all the men and other people there stood up raising their voices angrily asking her to remove her Hijab or else leave the session... It was indeed very rude... And she was defiant of neither removing her hijab nor leaving the session... Imagine an educated lady going through this... Yes, UAE is a very good example where no one is forced into anything... I have been to the UAE on several occassions and did wear my Hijab... Seeing some people not wearing Hijab did not encourage me to change my mind... It should be about choice...

Oh, in order to have a say on this one first of all you should know about what's going on in Turkey and what the Turkish Republic's principles are.
It's not as simple as agreeing or disagreeing. As a woman, I'm for giving the woman a choice, but again things are not as they're seen from where you are, and you can't compare UAE to Turkey. They're too very different countries with different cultures, different policies and so on.
Lastly, do you know that some European countires also ban wearing hijab to school and so? And what's ironic is they first condemned Turkey for doing this...

Dear sister
Peace be upon you
Hijab is an obligation from god!
You can do it and get gods mercy
Or you can neglect it but you will take charge of the consequences.
Its just like other do's and dont do!
YOU ARE FREE TO CHOOSE....
Islam raises the value of mind and intellect......
No one should be forced in anything,....
You think you like hijab, well its good for you, i think it is very beautiful and humane!
If some girl doesnt want hijab ...its ok for her, she must KNOW before she DECIDES....
Knows what is her body, why it has to be covered, is it good for her or is bad for her to cover it, does showing her body makes her more wanted...ok...BUT wanted HOW....does showing her body makes her just a female.....Does wearing hijab makes her a female for only one person. and also intellectual...not focused on just the body!!
The body goes and deteriorates, but the soul stays young, you can keep both by wearing hijab.
i am sorry if my answer sounds a little bit open and rough!
But if you wear hijab, God bless you!
If you dont, i hope you read well and think thoroughly.
The woman has a great value in islam.......

Agreed !!! women should be given free choice to wear whtever she wants....Well everyone is responsible for one's own act and one cant be forced to become a good or bad muslims....everyone has to face one's God alone ...i think female should be given free choice in every country....extremism is worst thing...its just destroy the good image of the thing whether it is religion or any walk of life.
God bless you sister!!

It should be the woman's choice. She shouldn't be told to wear it, and she shouldn't be told to take it off either.

It should be a choice. CHOICE always. Its so dumb, like saying if you let women wear skirts they will always have to or you simply have to ban skirts altogether.
DUMB!!
