What your asking is practically impossible. Best bet is to put the dog down and start over with a new dog. - Just kidding.

You should not have any problem training the dog at any age. Physical limits depending on age and size will play a role, but just remember that the dog is there for you.

Oh yeah we had one that was about 2 that got trained as a drug dog. He is now with another family and has proven himself to check out the boyfriends and people that visit!1

Sure!!! You can even teach an OLD dog new tricks!

It's just potentially harder to do the training, because you now have the added challenge of undoing any bad habits the dog has already learned.

Yes, it is best to take them to a training class. Look up your local kennel club they usually have classes ranging from puppy classes to advance class and everything in between. I got my dog at nine months, they were going to put her to sleep and I took classes with my dog and now she is going on 6 years and is an angel

Yes, but it becomes more difficult for some breeds in particular as they age. Get in touch with a local breeder and ask their advice as to who in your area are good with your particular breed of dog or search online for the information that you need. Have fun!

Of course!! But if he hasn't been socialized at all and you are wanting to train him because of problems with timidity or aggression, that's a lot harder. If you want to teach him sit, stay, and stuff like that, find a good obedience class as a starting point. If you want to teach him more advanced stuff, find a good trainer in your area. Good Luck!!
