Atheists don't believe in deities, so they cannot be "believers" in that sense.
I'm an atheist who is a "believer" in love, hope, humanity, etc.

They are both. An atheist believes in some things and doesn't believe in other things. In this sense (although it is a VERY limited comparison), they aren't much different from a theist, who is someone that believes in a personal creator-God. Ask any modern theist if they believe in the Roman God "Jupiter", and they will most likely say no. Theists believe in some things, but not in others (A.K.A being a theist towards their God, but an atheist towards the Gods of other religions).
The simple definition of an atheist is "someone who does not believe in a supernatural God." This includes Zeus, Jupiter, Yahweh, Allah, etc. However, because of their disbelief in God, they often turn to a different belief system - that of science. Scientific atheists believe that the scientific method works. Observation, experiment, evidence...this is what many atheists found their belief systems upon. Atheists reject the idea of "faith", because faith involves believing in things that have not been proven, and which are very unlikely to be proven anytime in the future. But just because an atheist doesn't have faith doesn't mean that he/she doesn't believe in anything. An atheist obviously believes in many things, such as the fact that the sun will rise in the east tomorrow morning at dawn, or that dropping a penny from the top of a building will cause the penny to fall to the ground.

Agnostic - somebody who isn't specific that God does not or does exist, yet does no longer take factors. Atheist is on 2 categories: a million) susceptible Atheist - uncertain and skeptical of a God, yet trusts good judgment. 2) Gnostic/solid Atheist - against the assumption of a a deity(-ies) latest as there is not any evidence, subsequently, no God(s) as an occasion, i'm a Gnostic/solid Atheist and there is not any info no longer medical nor Metaphysical to describe the existence of any style of God/s, subsequently, the assumption of religion is a primitive and conservative rigidity that does no longer benefit society.

This atheist believes in having evidence for my beliefs. So far, I've not been able to find any evidence of God, except that the Bible says so. I'm sorry, but that's just not good enough.
Yes, many of the non-supernatural events in the Bible can be confirmed, such as the existence of Jesus. But proof of the supernatural events are nowhere to be found.

Depends. What is it we are being asked of our belief or disbelief?
I do not believe in any form of deity. I lack belief. It is passive, not active. I don't disbelieve, nor do I believe. I simply make a logical assertion.
Do you 'believe' that 1+1=2 in the same sense that you 'believe' in a deity/

Atheists don't share the theists religious belief in a God or Gods, atheists do however believe in other things that have factual evidence to back them up, just not God as there is no reason, proof or evidence to believe in God.
Blind faith is required to believe in God simply because there is no proof, if there was proof or evidence then blind faith would not be required to believe in God.

They are believers. They believe that there is no God, but they also are lost. They don't know where and why they should even consider a God. They need prayers, and maybe one day they will get on their knees and let God into their lives.

I think maybe they're just not believers. Perhaps no aversion or affinity towards any deity whatsoever? And how would this be different from Buddhism, as Buddhists are not condemned for their Buddhism even though they don't have any deities.......
