How can I have a full clear face without spending lots of money on brand name creams? Commercials offered 100 kinds of creams, but I need a natural cream or treatment that I can afford. My skin is medium balances (not greasy or dry) please give me your best tip.

The most effective thing which is also the most cheapest thing you could ever do is water. Drink lots of water. It nourishes the skin, things that commercial product can't live up to.

Make your own masks with avocado, dried oats and yogurt. Its fun, smells good and great for the skin.

Also, try to not pick on your skin. It only scars (which stays longer) and spreads.

You can try some commercial products. The most expensive ones don't necessary mean the most effective ones. It depends on your skin type. Preferably try cleaners for normal skin and if you feel your skin is too tight or dry afterwards then get a facial lotion for your skin type.

cleanse, tone then moisturize

Spots and blemishes plague most people at some point in their life - even Liz Hurley and John Malkovich have spot scars if you look closely. Zits are more prevalent during puberty (thanks to those raging hormones), but it's not uncommon to get spots when you're older.

They happen when your pores get clogged with oil, sweat or grime, and they're more common in people who have naturally oily skin because the sebaceous glands, which produce the skin's natural lubricant (sebum), work harder, making it difficult to stop the pores from getting clogged.

Take action

* Know your skin type. This will help you to buy the right products - are you dry (prone to flakiness and a dull complexion), oily (shiny with open pores and prone to blemishes), combination (a bit of both) or normal (although there's no such thing!)?

* Follow a 3-stage skincare routine. Cleanse, tone and moisturise, morning and night. Cleansing stops dirt, sweat, make-up and bacteria blocking your pores and causing blemishes. And toner (or just a splash of cold water) removes excess cleanser and tightens up your pores ready for moisturising.

* Exfoliate once a week. Use a gentle exfoliator every week to slough away dead skins cells and help your pores breathe.

* Use a medicated wash. These can help clear your skin by killing bacteria and reducing oiliness. There are also several creams and preparations you can buy to treat spots directly - go for the gentlest option first, anything too strong might make the inflammation worse.

* Eat a well-balanced diet. It's a myth that chocolate and greasy foods cause spots, but eating well will make your skin healthier. Grab some fruit and veg and drink lots of toxin-flushing water.

* See your doctor. If you have acne, your GP should be able to prescribe antibiotics and may also refer you to dermatologist. Visit the One Life: Health section for more info on acne and other skin conditions.

I cannot recommend a particular product (other than Proactive which I have tried and did work but it's a little expensive) but I can suggest a cleansing routine which works for me.
Use a mild face wash. Do not over wash your face. Over drying will make your face produce more oil.
2-3 times a week use a facial scrub. A Face wash that has those micro beads to exfoliate the skin
A big difference maker for me was to use a toner twice a day after each wash (once in the morning and once in the evening) This really help my skin from over drying. And reduced breakouts over night. Do not buy any toners that have alcohol. This also over drys the skin.
|Then finally use a moisurizer. Non greasey.
If you want to go a bit further, use a face/mud mask once a week.

Regular Soap and Water, Three times a day, helps more than any product.

However these products work small miracles:
Burt's Bees Citrus Face Scrub.
Oil of Olay Age Defying Daily Cleanser ($4-6 for 6 oz)

MORE IMPORTANTLY:

DON'T TOUCH YOUR FACE!!!
It is oil and dirt from you hands that may make you break out even more. Wash your hands first.

DRINK WATER AND SWEAT,
Then wash your face. Saunas and baths are an easy way to sweat without exercise (if you're not looking to take up aerobics)

Although these are more expensive I also enjoy:
Burt's Bees Royal Jelly Eye Cream
and
Oil of Olay regenerist.

it depends on a few things...

if you are still pre 20s or early 20s, you are going through some hormonal changes in your body (your skin is changing from 'baby skin' to 'adult skin') so a side effect of that is that you are getting acne/zits.

if that is the case try one/all of these solutions:
first of all: do not touch your face. it will only hurt and cause you endless frustration and possibly even scars.

wash your face 2-3 times a day with soap and water (even a simple bar of ivory soap is fine)

you may have to make some dietary changes. (stay away from oily foods etc.)

are you constipated? another cause of acne.

drink plenty water.

don't delay taking a shower after you've been sweating.

also, look into stress in your life. a great cause of acne etc. are you having exams? troubles?

sleep is another factor to look into. are you getting 7-9 hours on a regular basis?

good luck.

Use your hand to eat food and after eating wash your hands in cold water. The wet hand without using a napkin for drying rub it all over your face till your hands are dry.
